Team Effectiveness

Employee ROI facilitates dialogue enabling teams to identify desired changes, plan actions, and commit to change. The team development process begins with team members clarifying goals, assessing their behavior patterns, and defining their developmental challenges. The team gathers and analyzes information about their patterns, enabling all members to create their development needs.

This process is effective because it creates joint ownership by leader and team. The leader and team use information about themselves, which ensures learning, credibility and commitment.

Inter-Departmental Collaboration - Enabling departments to collaborate effectively

Team Development Workshop: Accelerating Performance

Enabling teams and leaders to accelerate their performance

EmployeeROI’s team development workshop begins with team members clarifying goals and describing their predominant work and communication patterns.

The team analyzes this information about themselves, enabling all members to deepen their understanding of their habits, strengths, and challenges.

The consultants facilitate dialogue by the team, enabling them to analyze their current practices, identify desired changes, plan actions, and commit to these changes.

Why does the process work?

  • It creates joint ownership by the leader and the team.

  • The team plans their development using information about themselves, from themselves, which ensures credibility and commitment.

  • New information is introduced in way that is understandable and objective. This transforms previously invisible or un-discussible information into topics for team learning. The consultant adds observations and reflections that accelerate learning and relationship development.

  • The team understands the cause and effect relationships between events, their behaviors and perceptions (called mental models), which enables them to make high-impact change.

  • The process clarifies the gap between the actual and the desired situations, which motivates learning and change.

What is unique about this team-learning workshop?

  • It is designed for maximum learning, dialogue and action taking.

  • Active facilitation gives members the permission to experiment with new behaviors and ways of thinking that would have been impossible under other conditions.

  • The team’s ability to choose the focal topics maintains their sense of control.

  • The emphasis on different perspectives allows members to feel comfortable exploring their behavior and thinking patterns.

  • The action-orientation encourages members to commit to constructive behavioral change.

Team Development workshop:  Inter- Departmental Collaboration

Enabling departments to collaborate effectively

Highly skilled departments can develop habits that focus on their own needs, rather than the needs of their internal clients. The goal of the Inter-Departmental Collaboration workshop is to enable departments to use build a common language and work process with their clients, which enable successful technical collaborations. In this facilitated learning process, these departments perform the following activities:

Designing Efficient, Satisfying Services

  • Identify their most important needs and priorities of their internal clients.

  • Define their own services; including the deliverables and time frames for each service.

  • Refine these services for greater cost effectiveness and partner needs-satisfaction.

  • Make successful collaboration a primary goal.

Learning and Practicing Effective Client Communications

  • Make agreements with clients on specific expectations for each project.

  • Keep partners informed about the status of their projects.

  • Inform partners when results or timetables will differ from expectations.

  • Educate and learn from partners to create collaborative and innovative services.

  • Discover innovative uses by exploring client needs and provider capabilities.

Reinforcing and Tracking Partnership Practices

  • Build measurement and feedback processes that assess collaboration and satisfaction, and lead to continuous improvement in this arena.

  • Create a culture of collaboration and partner satisfaction throughout the organization.
